This summer has kicked off with a great start!  I recently had the pleasure of shooting a wonderful couple whose wedding I’ll be shooting this fall.  Amy and Matt are as cool as they come and I had a great afternoon hanging out with them at Minnehaha Falls.  Here are some of my favorites from the evening:

Amy & Matt – Thanks for letting me “tag along” on the fun afternoon.  You two are great!  I can’t wait for the wedding in October!

Ben and Melody are two of our closest friends. So, for their anniversary, I wanted to take some pictures of them and their Bernese Mountain Dog, Spliff. I was lucky enough, as any photographer would tell you, that they were willing to get up at sunrise to take the pictures. We set out to a couple of their favorite spots and the lighting was perfect!

  

As you can see, Spliff was definitely not shy around the camera…



In fact, I had the opportunity to take a few pictures of him when he was only a few months old.  What a cutie!



For a dog that was born to work and love… we did it all that morning.  There was even time for a quick game of “Who wants a treat?”



After some much needed play time, we took a break for some more pictures.

Happy Anniversary, Ben and Mel!  Here’s to many more years of a happy marriage to many more as great friends.

It was a gorgeous June morning when I met Aileen and Justin for their engagement pictures.  They had already picked two of my favorite photo spots, so I knew the session would go off without a hitch.  We started off with a stroll through the rose gardens.

It wasn’t long before we could use a break from the hot sun.  This bench provided the perfect opportunity for Aileen to snuggle into her man.

Just as we were walking out of the gardens, I caught Justin planting a big one on Aileen…

This is one of my favorite pictures from the session.  So simple and intimate, yet fun…something straight out of an ad for blue jeans.

After a long day of shooting, there’s nothing better than a cup of coffee on the street.

Just recently, I had the wonderful opportunity to shoot a couple friends of ours, Erin and Mike with their puppy, Stella. These two were naturals...and little Stella LOVES getting her picture taken!
